AI Consulting & Strategy
Find the two or three places AI actually pays off in your business — and skip the rest.
Request a consultationMost businesses do not have an AI problem. They have a prioritization problem. There are hundreds of tools, every vendor claims transformation, and the honest answer to "where should we start?" depends entirely on how your business actually runs — where the hours go, where the errors happen, and which of those a model can realistically take over.
Our AI consulting engagements answer that question with evidence instead of enthusiasm. We sit with the people doing the work, map the processes that eat the most time, and score each candidate on three things: how much it would save, how hard it is to build, and what it would cost if the AI got it wrong. Then we hand you a roadmap ranked by payback, not by hype.
Because we also build and run these systems, the roadmap is not a slide deck that dies in a drawer. Every recommendation comes with a concrete architecture, an estimate, and a first milestone you can fund on its own.
This is for you if
- You have been told to "do something with AI" and need a defensible plan before spending money.
- A team is spending hours a week on repetitive reading, writing, classifying, or data entry.
- You tried a chatbot or an off-the-shelf AI tool and it did not stick.
- You handle customer, patient, or financial data and need to know what can safely leave your walls.
AI Consulting & Strategy: what's included
AI readiness assessment
A two-to-three-week review of your workflows, data, and systems. You get a written report naming the specific processes worth automating, what each would take, and what to leave alone.
Opportunity scoring and roadmap
Every candidate use case scored on savings, build effort, and cost-of-error, then sequenced into phases you can fund one at a time. No 18-month transformation programs.
Build-vs-buy and model selection
Whether a SaaS tool, a hosted API, or a model running on your own hardware is the right fit — with the actual monthly cost of each, including the cost of your data leaving the building.
Data privacy and compliance review
Which data can go to a cloud model, which must stay on-premises, and how to structure the system so HIPAA, GDPR, or contractual obligations are met by design rather than by policy.
Pilot design
A scoped four-to-six-week proof of concept on your real data with a pass/fail definition agreed up front, so the decision to continue is based on results, not a demo.
Fractional AI leadership
Ongoing advisory for companies that need an experienced technical voice in the room for vendor calls, hiring, and architecture decisions without a full-time hire.
How an engagement works
Discovery call
A free 30-minute conversation about your business and what you are hoping AI can change. If we do not think AI is the right answer, we will say so.
Workflow mapping
We interview the people doing the work and document where time and errors concentrate. This is where most of the value is found — and where vendors never look.
Scoring and roadmap
Candidates are scored, ranked, and sequenced. You get the written report, the architecture for the top items, and a cost estimate for each phase.
Decision
You can take the roadmap and execute it with anyone. Most clients ask us to build the first phase, because we already know the terrain.
What you walk away with
- A written assessment naming the specific processes worth automating and the ones that are not.
- A phased roadmap with an estimate and a first fundable milestone for each phase.
- A model and hosting recommendation with real monthly costs, including the privacy trade-offs.
- A pilot definition with a pass/fail line agreed before any code is written.
Frequently asked questions
How long does an AI assessment take?
Two to three weeks for a typical small or mid-size business. The first week is interviews and workflow mapping, the second is analysis and scoring, and the report is delivered in the third. Larger organizations with many departments take longer, and we scope that up front.
Do we need to have clean data before starting?
No. Part of the assessment is finding out what data you actually have and how usable it is. Many of the highest-payback automations run on documents, emails, and PDFs that were never in a database to begin with.
Can our data stay on our own servers?
Yes. We regularly design systems where the language model runs on hardware you own or on a private cloud instance, so customer and financial data never leaves your control. The assessment tells you when that is necessary and when a hosted API is fine.
What does an assessment cost?
It is a fixed-price engagement scoped after the discovery call, sized to the number of workflows and departments involved. There is no obligation to continue with us for implementation.
Do you work with businesses outside Atlanta?
Yes. We are based in Atlanta, Georgia and work on-site with local clients, but most engagements are remote and we work with businesses across the United States.
